Not great if you’re using a home warranty. The home warranty companies stipulate the HVAC company must attempt a repair before replacement. In our case the evaporation coil has a leak. Unfortunately, this company and the tech mentioned they would have to remove the coil from our home and we would be without AC for two to four weeks. Nice technician, but the lengthy process without a guaranteed fix makes me give them one Star.

This company and the tech that came out were outstanding start to finish! Corey was on time for his arrival. He was professional, knowledgeable and was able to explain the problems to me easily. He had it fixed quickly and even threw in a few jokes! Love it! He read the diagnosis that he was putting into his system so I knew clearly what was communicated to all parties. This company was professional and courteous from start to finish. They contacted me (instead of me having to call them) set the appointment quickly with clear communication via phone and text as to when my appointment was. They even sent a text telling me who was coming to do my job and a short bio about that person. It made this whole process much less worrisome for me and I appreciated it great! Thanks so much!

We had an excellent experience with Corey from American Air Conditioning. He was extremely professional, courteous, and thorough from the moment he arrived. He took the time to carefully inspect everything and then sat down with us for more than half an hour to explain what he found, answer all of our questions, and make sure we understood the situation. What impressed us most was that Corey didn’t rush through the appointment. He listened to our concerns and walked us through our options, including what alternatives we would have if American Home Shield did not approve the warranty repair. He was knowledgeable, straightforward, and never made us feel pressured. It’s refreshing to deal with a service professional who genuinely takes the time to help the customer understand their options. Corey represented American Air Conditioning extremely well, and I would absolutely recommend him and the company. Five stars all the way! Corey came out to inspect my air ducts and was extremely thorough and explained in detail what all was wrong and needed repair and what didn’t. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I feel my house is in great hands with him taking care of it.

I would not use this company by choice. They were assigned to me through my home warranty company after my AC stopped cooling. The problems started before the technician even arrived. When the appointment was scheduled, no one told me the system needed to be turned off in advance so the coils could thaw. The technician arrived, saw that the unit was frozen, turned it off, and left. The appointment then had to be rescheduled for two days later. That delay could have been prevented with one basic instruction during scheduling. After the second visit, the company still did not promptly submit the claim to my home warranty provider. I had to repeatedly follow up and eventually escalate the issue before the request was submitted. What concerns me most is how the work was ultimately classified. The service call was for an AC system that was already malfunctioning, freezing up, and not cooling the home, yet the recommended work was submitted as “routine maintenance.” That classification resulted in the work being treated as non-covered and left me facing a bill of thousands of dollars. I cannot prove why the claim was classified that way, but given the timing after I complained about the delay, I absolutely question it. Even if the work ultimately was not covered by my warranty, the lack of urgency throughout this process was unacceptable. My home has been left without functioning AC for multiple days in Texas heat because of avoidable scheduling issues, delayed claim submission, and poor communication. If your home warranty company assigns this contractor to you, I strongly recommend documenting everything, and verifying exactly how the claim is being submitted. Based on my experience, I would not trust this company with another service call.
